When there is someone you think you can confide in turns out to be a joke, should you take the chance again? If so, what are the qualifications of a confidant?

I hear what you say,to confide in someone must be a true friend, someone who is always there for you,one who listens and understands, has a heart of gold. someone you can trust. and they do exist. one who breaks trust is not realy a true friend.
