A twisted christmas story

"Christmas is coming!», that’s what they said.
Beautiful decoration, luxurious dinner served.
Presents wrapped tight, in paper of gold.
ribbons to fly as they unfold.
Snow is falling, a gift from the sky.
It's really cold, but we will get by.
the fire shall shine and warm us in time.
Happily, singing, the children alive.
But don't you remember that December?x2
chorus: They sit around the table, waiting for the dawn.
Hoping that maybe today she will come home.
as the beams of light pronounce the new year's morn
they realise that they are still alone.
It was a night like this, though it had a little twist.
fireplace burning bright and a nice Christmas tree.
A joyful atmosphere but she wouldn’t see.
She ran off the stairs slammed the door.
Spoke words that she hadn’t said before.
And just like a breeze, rushing wild to freeze,
She was seen no more.
That’s what happened that December, now you remember.x2
chorus: They sit around the table, waiting for the dawn.
Hoping that maybe today she will come home.
as the beams of light pronounce the new year's morn
they realise that they are still alone.
Hurt by false promises, the search was called cancelled.
A hundred of questions still unanswered.
Her parents lost their only child, in a snowing Christmas night.
“Where might she be?” they wonder in fright.
“Where is our daughter? For god’s sake, is she alright?”
The answer was no. And they wouldn’t learn more if
The bell didn’t ring. Someone was at the door.
An officer, with a face so sad, announced her parents that the news were bad.

In the frozen river, in water black as my very ink.
Branded by powers from beyond, she just jumped to sink.
And there she remained, kept safe and whole.
Pretty yet hideous, made their skin crawl.

Their screams in the darkness, scared the moon.
Predicting that it was time to mourn.
For now on she would never go away.
With her parents forever, she will eternally stay.
Together forever, in the night’s eerie light.
Every Christmas night, the table’s chairs move
And curtains are placed aside.
Never go there, for your own good!
They sat around the table, waiting for the dawn
Knowing that today she wouldn’t come home.
as the beams of light pronounce the new year's morn
They found them down, dead and gone.
They shot each other.
Hard the pieces to gather.
God, forgive her mother and her beloved father.

As events had shown, they won't be alone
from now on...
