Defining Me

I am a woman by birth
So I know how women are
We tend to get carried away
We tend to go too far.

We sometimes overexaggerate things
Make things worse than needed
If our voices can't be heard
We'll write it for you to read it.

We tend to get possessive
Claim whatever by all means
Pass a lick if necessary
Pretty voilet... though it seems.

I must admit... we talk alot
Maybe even unlike a lady
If we get our feeling hurt
We may even cry like a baby.

We are quick to point the finger
Place the blame on the men
Say it is all his fault that
You acted up yet once again.

Men are known to be chaotic
But hey... that's nothing new
Only way to handle a man
Is to start by handling you.

I'm glad I'm a woman
I'm glad I have the swings
Glad I have alot of patience
For the chaos a man brings.

But this poem is not about a man
It's about his other half
How we can't let a man define us
& let mistakes define our path.

lines to remember

Thanks for sharing this.
These lines resonated with me:
"Only way to handle a man
Is to start by handling you."

"How we can't let a man define us
& let mistakes define our path."
