I traveled down the road last night
A car cut my path
Wondered why my car didn't flip
Thought cause I wasn't going too fast.

Got mugged once at the store
Robber wanted my purse
Thought I didn't die that day
Cause the bullet just wouldn't disburse.

Had an ex over one night
Getting even was highly on his mind
Thought a friend accidentally showing up
Is how I got away that time.

A friend & I went out one night
A big fight ended the date
Thought the knife only hitting my neck
Was because I stepped out too late.

Found out I was seriously ill
A few years could cause my end
Thought the doctors catching it in time
Is why my ... now... life begin.

Funny how we underestimate
The simple reasons of how
How did I escape again
How... to death... I did not bow.

Took a minute to figure it out
Took a friend a minute to explain
God's angel was watching over me
That's how all was gained.
