The School-Yard Years (Chapter 2)
Black-boards, class-rooms, gymnasiums and chalk
I had to battle to learn what was taught,
My low self-esteem never really helped
Running eased the pain that I always felt.
I had god-given, athleticism
My parents and teachers, in their wisdom,
Saw this talent and led the side-line cheers
This was a constant through my school-yard years.

Pathetic Smile (Chapter 1)
THIS WILL BE A CONCEPT PIECE
You know I trust you, you knew I trusted you
You knew I trusted you, so what did you do?
You know I trust you, you knew I trusted you
I was just a child tormented as I grew.
Love-Struck
LOVE-STRUCK
When our eyes first met
I felt the heavens move,
Then my love for you
Was up to me to prove,
So - I started with
A twilight serenade,
Then laid rose petals

Consequences of Conflict
CONSEQUENCES OF CONFLICT
A darkened night roaming the jungle
As a sniper takes his shot,
The bloodied pieces of your ankle
Splinter, then begin to rot.
It's classified, rated, 'need to know'
If you did, you might be sick,
Now your skittishness begins to show...
Consequences of Conflict.
Stormy Nights
STORMY NIGHTS
The raucous night sky,
Blinding flares of silver light,
Torrential down-fall.
Tomorrow's Lament
TOMORROW'S LAMENT
Thomas realized, while he sat motionless, in his vehicle. That so much of the worlds’ inherent anger and inhumanity, towards one-another, was directly due to the fact that no one bothered to get to know one-another any more.
As he dealt constantly with society’s discarded and shunned portion of mankind, he also found himself privy to depths of the human spirit he never knew existed.
And what follows is his story…
During abusiveness as normal
Seeing justice as a joke,
The violent portion of this city
Seems to be, more in-control.
At an early age he made the call
That he’d fight the noble fight,
And always, no matter, in the end
He’d always do what’s right.
Normal
NORMAL
The frigid cold of winter
Is Toms' version of perfection.
The sweltering of summer
Leans closer in Jill's direction...
Which is NORMAL?
What is NORMAL?
Signs Of Victory
SIGNS OF VICTORY
When combat ceases
And we move ahead,
When hate decreases
Cause we’re scared of death.
When faith does falter
And beliefs succumb,
When the load’s shouldered
It would seem, by one.
The Seven Swords Of Sin
THE SEVEN SWORDS OF SIN
When you hold yourself so high
That no one else can compare,
When the tentacles of pride
Replace the notion of fair.
Appreciate then unwind
Your respect for those akin,
So in the end, in your mind
You draw the first sword of sin.
Drug Addiction
DRUG ADDICTION
Exhausted by the bedlam
Bellowing inside of you,
Every coming down tantrum
Will only stop when you do.
Devastated in your youth
Or is it hard-ships right now,
That made you search for the truth
And not rule what you allow.
The answers lie in control
Of your life and destiny,
Let he who’s reclaimed his soul
Scream this honest, heart-felt plea…
Him, Them And Her
HIM, THEM AND HER
Beep! Beep! Beep! The clock sounds off,
Sleep! Sleep! Sleep! He’s up and off,
Work! Work! Work! On through the day,
Done! Done! Done! No more to say.
Red! Red! Red! He sees when home,
Hate! Hate! Hate! Burns to the bone,
Fist! Fist! Fist! Thrown out in rage,
Plead! Plead! Plead! Scared of a cage!

Self-propelled hill-climbs,
Exhausted but determined.

Another Nightmare
ANOTHER NIGHTMARE
As the rain taps on the tiles,
And a growl breaks the thunder,
My terror keeps mounting, While
All outside’s torn asunder.
Claws splinter the cellar door,
Got It All
GOT IT ALL!!!!
The gods above did summon us
And we thrive where we long to be,
Rolling pastures, so thick and lush
Exhibits Australia’s beauty,
With koalas and kangaroos
And our relaxing billabongs,
The one thing we should always do
Is, praise the land where we belong.
