Seven Days To Life
While the rain-forests dwindle
And the polar-caps melt,
We extinguish life’s’ candle
And gamble what we’re dealt.
Though one day we’ll lose the hand
Once we have thrown all in,
Serenity
Blissful interludes
As reality’s replaced
With tranquillity.

A Worded Waterfall
Almost ethereal in its beauty
So gorgeous, is it even really there?
As it crashes over the precipice
A fine spray of mist billows through the air.
Now I stand here, awe-struck by its splendour

A Son's Gratefulness
I’ve done so much that’s wrong
I could never list them all,
I did them for so long
You’ve not seen me stand up tall.
Well now my head’s held high
And I’m once again your son,

The Hunted's Rights
So unequivocally one sided
No possible fair fight,
A mother and her young, divided
Once they are in your sights.
The penultimate, of that species
Which one is next to kill?

Maybe, Maybe Not (Chapter 9)
Maybe I did get it. Maybe I was fine
Maybe Hepatitis, maybe next in line,
Maybe AIDS had got me, maybe I survived
Maybe it was only ever in my mind?
Maybe I would crumble, maybe I would deal
Writers Block (EXPLICIT)
As I sit here in puzzlement
Pen tapping on the page,
Devoid of thought or sentiment
To put upon said page.
An idea burrows through the wall
And slides straight into view,

Do It
If you want to scale a cliff-side,
Do it.
If you want to catch a serpent,
Do it.
If you want to feed a great-white,
Do it.
If you want to fly a glider,
Do it.

New Beginnings Begin (Chapter 10)
There’s no more maybe to it
All the signs declare – ‘I Win’
I’m now on the other side
My new beginning begins.
Yesteryear’s pathetic smile
Has no power anymore,
Love
What is love?
It’s unconditional devotion
Hearts pounding in unified motion,
Yearning for the other’s gentle touch
So severely that it hurts too much.
But on the other hand
The Ink Beneath The Skin
When I hit sixteen
All I wanted was a tat,
Everyone older
Said, I would regret that.
Then at seventeen
I ignored them and went in,
Started my obsession... with
The ink beneath the skin.
Racial Disharmony
You look at me disapprovingly
Who the hell do you think you are?
It’s a free world, I’m allowed to be
Anything that I’ve been so far,
I can’t believe that, you separate
Black and white from one another,
Surely, one day this blistering hate
Will vanish, so no-one suffers...
Moonlight
In the tranquillity of night
Illuminating spots of light,
Speckle the darkened sky above
And inspire my lunar love.
The ghostly, distant sphere, casts down
A subtle plume of light, to ground,

I Would
If the stars fell, I’d gather one
Only for you, I would.
If I could ever part the seas
Only for you, I would.
If birds would sing their merry songs
When I would ask, I would,

House-Bricks
They say a fall can kill you
But is it really true?
Do you still die a little?
Even with parachutes.
They say there’s a River Styx
You cross when life is flicked,
But you never really know
