Heavenly Friends
When the world beats you down
And your life-line fades away,
I will be around
To guide you from the fray,
Casting light to see
Your way too tunnel’s end,
You’ll be accompanied
By a noble, honest friend.
Honesty’s intransigent
Loyalty’s just a part,
Friendship must be heaven-sent
When known deep in the heart.
Friends are hard to find
But priceless when you do,
Supporting from behind
Falling, they’re catching you.
When verbal spears are thrown
They’ll stand up and defend,
So you don’t stand alone
So you’ve got one honest friend.
Honesty’s intransigent
Loyalty’s just a part,
Friendship must be heaven-sent
When known deep in the heart.
Many, many years ago
I fell, you helped me up,
Now, times have turned, I know
And it’s you who’s in the rut.
You strive to stay afloat
In this surging sea of days,
And I’m there to steer you out
Cause I’m with you all the way!
Honesty’s intransigent
Loyalty’s just a part,
Friendship must be heaven-sent
When known deep in the heart.
