And I will leave you then
stroll down your walkway
glance one last time
as the tulips swoon
so sweet, in full bloom
hanging
delicately over the edge
aching
to say, “wait”.
And with a tear
traipsing
down my face
you will forever taste
my tender kiss
as you lick your lips,
feel your knees weaken
at the very thought of me,
still hear my whisper
as you lay your head.
And it will be you
I pay homage to
as my pen writes.

You know how when you read something you like, then in a response you copy and paste the parts that stands out to you?

I kind of incorporated it, like a love lost by a person who writes poetry.

i just wrote a poem about an elephant this morning and i'd really appreciate your opinion on it if you have time. I know my poems can be kinda lengthy sometimes...I wrote one about goosebumps too...a little shorter...LOL!
