To Say It Out Loud

I remember when you told me you loved me
You looked deep into my eyes
You said it was alright if i didn’t love you back
I forgot to say out loud how beautiful you are.

You looked deep into my eyes
I knew it felt so right
I forgot to say out loud how beautiful you are
The words were right on the tip of my tongue.

I knew it felt so right
With you I am so me
The words were right on the tip of my tongue
I can still see your face.

With you I am so me
I wanted to tell you so many times
I can still see your face
You are always with me.

I wanted to tell you so many times
The words spill out onto the paper
You are always with me
Time passes so quickly.

The words spill out onto the paper
Can you hear me now?
Time passes so quickly
In my heart it’s always summer.

Can you hear me now?
I remember when you told me you loved me
In my heart it’s always summer
You said it was alright if i didn’t love you back.

To Say It Out Loud

~Loving Heart, Loving Poem~

Linda,

I love the way you write about the greatest emotion...love. Your love poems are authentic and charming. It is crazy how we sometimes forget to love out loud. We should be willing to shout it from the rooftops!

Love,

Kathy

xo

You're so right!

It is crazy how we sometimes forget or put it off...We should shout it from the rooftops...before its too late, right? And say it to everyone we love..parents, kids...everyone!!!
Thank you kathy for always encouraging me. i appreciate it. You are such a sweet lady!
Love,

Linda

Hi Marwee
I'm Italian so it's easy for me to say...i practically hug people to death without even trying...
I am glad you liked my poem. I was trying a new style..a "pantoum" where you repeat lines.

xo
Linda

"Pantoum"

Even with this new style you tried,
I still felt Ironconnell's essence... all throughout the poem!
and you truly made it your own!
A very tender and loving piece here!
Thanks!
Eric

Thank you Eric!

Your kind words mean so much! You've made me smile with your comment!
I had fun trying something new. Eric, I'm so glad you enjoyed this one!

i keep emailing the contact people in charge

of the showcase but they dont email me back.

if anyone knows how to fix this problem..please let me know.
here what happens:...i post a poem but i dont receive the comment VIA email anymore. i have to go to the poem and look for the comments...
i used to get a message in my mail....i have tried everything...subscribing ..unsubscribing...starting over etc...but to no avail.
i am concerned because i love to respond to all of you when you take the time to read my poems and give me such nice comments.
i hope i can get this fixed soon!

helppppppp please!!!!
Linda

LINDA!

Hi! I still like you. You're so sweet and so are your poems.

Hi to you Neo!

Neo, i know you do, I was only talking about my emails ...they arent coming through to my AOL...like just now...i had to go to my poem..on my blog...to see that there was a comment that was written. Do you know what i mean? This is so frustrating cuz i could be missing other comments on a poem from way back. I always love thanking people for taking the time to read my poems and i dont want to miss one.

Ive been trying to get a hold of the director of showcase and ask him if theres a way i can fix this..but they never answer my emails. Ron, even emailed them for me and they havent gotten back to him either

glad you liked this one neo

hi linda

Yeah, I think there's a bug in the system. Or maybe they've decided to stop sending email notifications, though I hope not. Don't worry, I'm sure it'll get fixed eventually. :)

Yay!!! My emails for the showcase are fixed now!

Thank God! All fixed. Thanks you guys for helping!!
Much appreciated!!!

Why is it

that it takes loosing something we love before we appreciate it. Great poem! ONce in a while, I think we all need to be reminded not to take our loved ones for granite. My common mistake is that I forget to say 'thank you' quite often. 'Thank you's' are important for letting someone know that you appreciate them. Sometimes it doesn't matter how many times I say 'I love you', if I haven't said 'thank you', then it's hard for someone to feel loved and respected... know what I mean?

Thanks for sharing,
~Geo

Yes Geo i k now what you mean!

"Thank you" is very heartwarming. And we do tend to forget that at times. Days go by and we forget.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this one. I am happy you liked it.
Thank you Geo i appreciate you!

Best love poem!

I feel all mushy now, I'm going to go and tell all my cats how much I love them! (very sad I know heh!) seriously this puts things into perspective and makes you think of all those times you said how much someone meant to you, and makes you want to do it again-go Linda! :D ♥

I really dig this poem. It

I really dig this poem. It is real. It is spontaneous. More importantly it is urgent. It picks up speed. You got me right there with you in the feeling...in the moment. Well done.
