The Canals of Venice

Someday, you will recite poetry to me.
We will be in a gondola on the canals of Venice looking up at diamonds in the sky,
on a vast sea of navy blue.
We will drink fine red wine out of one glass.
And when our eyes meet we will light up all of Italy.
My skin will tingle when you sing, ‘Vieni Su’ in my ear, and I will say ‘I do love you too’.
Under the bridge you will hold my face
in your hands and kiss me,
and we will know we are home.
Someday, you will recite poetry to me.
When you do,
I will lick the honey right off your lips.

Romance at its best! Linda-style! Venice is such an amazing city; I spent an incredible day there a few summers ago. Just love all those canals. We have a Venice, Florida, which is pretty nice, too, but nothing compares to the original.

I have heard of Venice Florida...My parents are in Naples...another great Italian spot huh?

As a kid, I always thought it would be so cool to live in Venice, being able to jump out my window and go swimming. (until I found out how polluted the water was) This is a very romantic write, beautiful setting with great imagery. A piece of art to say the least! Worthy to be hung somewhere in Venice~Ron

this is so beautiful. Amazingly, I just came from Italy...was only 50 miles from Venice. I turned around half way because I was alone..i just didn't want to experience such a romantic place by myself. I thought...one day I'll be back...in a romantic setting :)
