A Tender Love
When I die
let me lay
beside you
in fields among fertile ground
where herbs will flourish
all around
and
the rosemary’s
sweet aroma will
call to mind
days spent
tangled
in each others arms
and
the basil’s
sweetness
will perfume our haven
underground
and
thyme
will be with us
and
we will
finally surrender
to a love
so tender.

Hey Linda
I like this post, it has a "Cristofo" feel to it... And even tho all your post stand on their own, I could not help but think of him when I read this... Man I still miss him, HEY! Don't you just up and leave like that! PROMISE! Nice post, take care-Lee
WOW Lee!
Don't worry, i will never leave the place that welcomed me into the world of poetry. I owe so much to this site!
Thank you for your sweet comment. I miss Cristopho's poetry also. I wish he'd come back and surprise us one day soon.
To be compared to him Lee, is a great compliment. Thank you so much!
( i dont know what even half the words meant that he used, but they were so pretty....lol)
Linda
:)
Tender and romantic...
Only you could make those two words wonderfully describe being dead and buried in a double grave. LOL ;o) (hope I got a smile on that one). Hope all is well Lin. Keep these beautiful poems coming!

~Rest in Peace~
Linda,
Breathtaking write!
If you can love someone so completely that you know you want to be buried with them, that is the essence of a complete love. If you have this love, you my friend, are so rich!
Warm regards,
Kathy
Thank you kathy!!!
Complete love for sure! And to be buried with the herbs all around...what could be better i suppose?
glad you enjoyed this kathy
