SLURP!
Because it’s so warm, ripe and juicy
I do it standing up
I carefully peel
and I can’t help but feel
the wet flesh on my
fingers, hands and mouth
such, a lush
moist mess!
It’s nice now
and I smile like
I’m Christopher Columbus discovering a tropical bounty
after weeks and months at sea;
but, it’s just me
savoring the sunshine
and the earth beneath my feet
as I make love to the mango
over the kitchen sink.

I'm feeling your innuendo! You're not the only one who makes the food/love connection. I once covered a girl in apple pie and whipped cream and ate it off her. IT WAS GOOD! So was this poem!
