Oh, how beautiful is the night sky
With its deep dark palette of blue
And stars that sparkle as bright as day
Spreading for miles, an enticing debut

And that big old harvest moon
His smiling face, with a radiant glow
And over me a soft touches of gold
The night sky, a picture show

Shadows off the trees, as my eyes wander
And the smell of the cold crisp air
The crickets whispering right out loud
While singing, their favorite prayers.

Leaves rustling and snuggling together
As if playing a silly child’s game
And dogs barking in the distance
In a soft melodious refrain

The allure of the lights from a jet plane
And the imagined vacationing site
All I have to do is walk outside
The evenings are, enough to delight!
