Ode To Pablo
Just one man
full of wonder, man.
With beauty in the
eye of the beholder.
Hot
crimson blood
boiling, rising, bubbling,
in your veins, man.
You begin to write,
and all I want to do
is have a little taste of you.
Your soul carved in every stone,
your heart in your throat
through all your poems.
You bring love into mine
you, tender man...
who loves not only one woman
but all things,
living and non living
on, and under this earth.
Yeah, I know.
Food, wine and love.
Are they not one,
and the same?
The spice of life
the spice of love,
and what you bring
to us all,
the briny flavor
the sugared tears
happy and sad.
Sex blatantly knocks on our door
and we feel the need
to let it in,
shivers up the back
of my neck,
the unmistakable
smell of lust,
the wet lips
the honey kiss.
And everything,
about you
is love.
You make me want
to bite you.

His poems were the first I ever read. I truly think thats why I got hooked on poetry. The passion he has...man it just kills me!
I never ever get tired of reading his poems. And I relate to all of them.

Sums him right up
The first poem I ever read of his was "In My Sky At Twilight"-it was so inspiring. your poem is a gorgeous ode to him, and even reading it you could almost mistake it for one of his own writes! great stuff Linda :D ♥

i dont know why but i love my last line...about biting him...haha...only because he is so freakin passionate, i thought biting him would be the only way to show my passion for him!

Sparse, Graceful and Moving
I too enjoy the work of Pablo Neruda. His writing is so sparse and yet so profound and passionate. His writing is timeless, as relatable now as it was when it was written. Your poem is the same, a wonderful tribute, sparse, graceful and moving. Well done!
