Italy In My Sight
When my eyes, I close
I see
colors of gold
blessed by the Gods,
a sight
to behold.
I see
honey colored villas,
under rust red tile,
my eyes beg
my mind,
to stay awhile
I see
layers of history
to me,
a mystery,
walking on smooth
worn stone
in a place
I’m never
alone.
I see
the people there
with hearts
so giving,
happily working,
making
their living.
I see
cypress lined paths
leading to
nowhere
my senses awaken,
I’m walking
on air.
I see
sweet Italy
In my sight
I love to fall
asleep at night!

A Bewt For Sure!
Thought i'd just steal Bryce's words for you because they're so lovely lol! I can imagine this clearly as i travel fairly often to europe, and although English, when visiting Greece, Spain, Sweden and simular places i fall head over heels with them. Ive only travelled to Italy once, and long ago but will have to make plans to see it again at some stage. Maybe we can all meet up there in the future and recite Pablo Neruda! x
Brilliant Idea Debs!!!!
I like your thinking...Please, let's do it...all meet in Italy!!!
How fun would that be??? And....reciting Pablo Neruda...whoa baby...watch out...his stuff ...way hot!!!! LOL
Thanks for reading Debs. I appreciate your comments always!
