~HEARTS~

This heart is aching this heart is sore
How much can it take anymore?
A painful sorrow, is there relief?
All this misery, all this grief
This heart is heavy, this heart is full
This tug of war, this push and pull
Is there relief for what this heart lacks?
Will this tired heart, someday relax?
Just how much can one heart bear
Sometimes it doesn’t seem so fair
This heart is crumbling all around
I pick up pieces on the ground
And fit them back into their place
Like gluing back that broken vase
This broken heart now somehow stronger
Didn’t think I’d make it, any longer
The more I use it, this heart rebuilds
The more my heart will be fulfilled
Each beat for family and my friends
This heart won’t stop it never ends
My bleeding heart seems to empathize
For everyone underneath these skies!

Linda you have so eloquently written the pain and anguish a parents heart goes thru for friends and family.

Here is something from my Greek mythology class I took many many moons ago about misery.

Alas, an arrow has found my heart,
pulled not from cupids quiver.
Oizys laughs as she returns to Nyx
as another broken heart lies bleeding.

Here is an explaination of my old poem ...
OIZYS was the spirit (daimona) of misery and woe, distress and suffering. She was one of the malevolent children of Nyx (Night).
