The trials and tribulations
Of our complex, convoluted,
Surreal, beautiful,
Silly excuse of our relationship
Cannot begin to describe the hidden joys.

I’ve always put up a wall
To defend against the demons of love.
Yet you have managed to
Tear it down, to
Destroy my inhibitions

Isn’t it obvious?
I’ve always loved you, and
Always will.
And I have an inkling that
You may feel the same.

No matter where you go in life,
I will be here to catch you when you fall,
I will be here to laugh at a bad joke,
I will be here to lie in bed
And doze the day away with.

I will be here for fights
I will be here for “I’m sorry’s”
I will be here for kisses,
For embraces,
For making love.

And all the years we’ve been growing,
And all the years we’ve been loving,
And leaving,
And longing -
Or is it only me?

Throughout time and the cosmos
I know one thing is for certain;
