Sonnet #3 (Or, How Destiny Can Be Wrong)

Once upon a magic April day,
Two young star-crossed lovers met by fate.
They found love in the early days of May,
But within a year their love turned to hate.
The lovers used to be so deep in love;
The boy promised the girl one day they'd wed.
But as soon as the snow fell from above,
The boy left the girl, and her heart was dead.
For three lonely dark months the girl mourned,
The pain and loss always stinging her soul.
But as she watched the new spring take its form,
She discovered the lies he had always told.
Now the young girl's heart is forever cold;
Never to know what it's like to be loved.

I really like it. It's like

I really like it.
It's like Romeo and Juliet gone wrong!
Not that, Romeo and Juliet ended up going wrong... but this is in a different way!
Haha :)
