Sonnet #2 (Or, Accepting Truth and Trust)
We weren't in love, but labeled as lovers.
We seemed as friends - our affair was discovered.
And, somewhere, through the denial and lying,
I realized love was what I was trying
To achieve. I know I love you dearly;
It took me leaving you to see it clearly.
It's not meant to be, but I like to know
I'm not the only one who won't let go.
I'm afraid to trust someone with my heart,
But I've known you'll always be a part
Of my life, as casual as it seems.
This feeling existed in my dreams;
So maybe it's love, but not the truest,
It's enough for me, and I think you knew it.

I came away from the reading of this pieces with many feelings and some I'm still sorting out. That's one of the marks of a good piece when it makes the reader think and sort through his own takes.

I truly love this poem. The
I truly love this poem. The meaning of it, loving someone in a completely different way than romance, I think can relate to EVERYONE who has ever been in love before.
Spectacular.

Thanks for looking into finer points of my verse.
I look and feel aout the world and people, in a different way but there are
few like you who can appreciate. There are other poems of mine (Moon) which tells of deeper truths. Try to read into those.
Regards.
