Just Breathe

I sigh, trying to
Expel you from my memory,
But every inhale reminds me of
Your scent,
Your taste,
Your touch.

The oxygen fills me, and I recall how
I used to live off your love.
Now I am suffocating;
Your absence is crushing
The breath out of me.

I can only wait for
A new breeze to carry me away;
Where love won't abandon me,
Where love will thrive,
And I can simply
Breathe.

I can feel what you say in your poem. that "suffocation" is something you always remember.... you have described it perfectly. very nicely done.
I'm sure, a breath of fresh air will come..
