Kindness is my only curse
My blood was crashing through my veins, I felt I would explode
My fury driving me like reins, but I could never let it show.
Heinous thoughts raced through my mind, venomous and cruel
But I could not be so unkind, I had to let them cool.
It was a curse that haunted me, and drove me to insanity
My emotions always taunted me, seduction as its sorcery.
It told me how to take revenge, and made me think I wanted it
But then it stole my will again, and left me feeling powerless.
I fought against it day and day, it never let me go
Until I was in too much pain, it allowed my thoughts to show.
In short I nearly killed myself, and everything I know
And now I have surrendered to it, never to be let go.

if i wanted everyone to
if i wanted everyone to understand my thoughts, i would have written a letter. poems have no set rules, i write them to focus and clear my thoughts and decided others might benifit from them.
as for how it has so many reads, if you have been racking your brains this whole time and havent thought of anything let me shine some light on the matter. The site has 2081 members, but not only members can browse the site. Also, the number is not the amount of people that have read it but how many times the link has been clicked on or the page refreshed. seeing that you commented several times, you have obviously clicked the link at least 4 times, probably more. if everyone has clicked it 4 times, it would have 8000 reads plus the amount of guests that enter the site.
