a world of difference
She was once a little girl in a big ball gown
plastic shoes and a princess crown
no worries in the world
Her job was to dream
She was a perfect little girl careless and free
Time passes and she learned
That time won’t ever stop
The next thing she Knew
She was all grown up
Her life was not the same
her job was no longer to dream
Shes a big girl now and has more responsibility
She works at a diner and does the 9-5
Gets an hour of sleep and then serves drinks to the guys
She has a little boy whos just turning 5
With bleach blond hair and light blue eyes
Shes working hard just to get by
But this angel fell hard and has no hopes to fly
Away from this hell she sadly calls home
The little princess is dancing alone.
So how did she get to where she was
Sitting on the corner with her head in her knees
This mess of gorgeous chaos
Her eyes blood shot from Tears
that were rolling down her cheek
It was harder and harder for her to breath because
Her life was not how she dreamt it would be
Her shoes on the ground next to her feet
Her hair a mess, mascara on her cheek
She lifted her head To take a peak
and try to find what she was blind to see
That sometimes you don’t get what you want
but really what you need
Things don’t turn out how you want them
Sometimes there better or worse
But if anything is ever worth having
You gotta fight for it first
She took a look down and was surprised to see
The reflection of a girl who was happy and carefree
Her memory went back to who she used to be
How she longed to be that girl again
with no worries or responsibility
Without knowing she was now on her knees
Her hands together she began to see
She said dear lord my fear
has grown bigger then my faith
And that’s why my life is all over the place
I need you to help me
guide me in the right way
Take my insecurity and throw it away
She picks herself up and dries her eyes
the angel that fell hard has a new place to confide
She found a place that she could really call home
In the arms of god The little princess will never dance alone
