As you bury me

I am trying to run,
but not trying to hide.
Gathering my thoughts
at ninety mile per hour.
This life has become too much
and I am lost and hurt.
lights are now in my mirror,
time is almost up....
I pick it the phone,
for one last plea,
tell me something
that will save me.
Give me hope,
a reason to live,
tell me my life is worth something,
That I have something to give..

But its just too late... just too late.

I step from my door
and the cops pleas are frantic,
To my temple, points my gun.
I pull the trigger with no regret.

.....in an instant,
I re-live my life,
The choices I made,
wrong or right....
And the last of all was
the most painful to see,
this pain inside you,
my good friend,
as you Bury me.

interesting

the fantasy collides with reality. Pain collides with pain. It comes down to connections made doesn't it. raskin

Thank you Raskin

For the reply, I had this write in my head for awhile but from different viewpoints, an innocent by stander, a police officer, but in the end I chose this one, thanks for taking the time to read-Lee

This was so good...it flows really well, and the ending was perfect I thought....good job bro! Ricklovin

And Thanks also for this read too...Rick

The short story behind this.... A concerned citizen started following an apparent drunk driver and call the cops, the cops encourage him to stay close until they caught up, speeds reach 90 miles an hour before the police caught up and he (the apparent drunk driver)finally pulled over near a stop sign. At first he would not get out of the car, he was on the phone. The cops had the spotlights on him and guns drawn. With the concerned citizen nearby as well he(drunk driver) calmly steps from his car and pulls a gun, puts it to his temple and pulls the trigger. The concerned citizen was a friend of a friend and I was told he didn't sleep for days, blaming himself for the suicide. That story stuck with me for days, it was so sad, thanks for the read-Lee
