V.A.L.E.N.T.I.N.E

(an acrostic poem)

Visible waves crash upon the shore
All the sands of time forgiven or erased
Love, whether old, new, or renewed
Ease my heart back to romantic poetry
Not all that shines is true gold
To stumble and fall the human way
In and out, doors open by faith I walk
No one name deprived from love’s witness
Even scores balance all past equations
*****
My first Valentine acrostic poem
I yield to your temptations
I am a believer, love does renew
Spring to nature’s yearly return
My sonnet captures my Valentine!

Loving Nature

Paul,

Your loving nature is reflected in all that you write.

Your poetry is like a wave tenderly moving and returning in a circle of love.

Happy Valentine's Day dear friend! Your love makes my world go round. xo

I made Love to Love

Leaking Pen

Dear Kathy
Happy Valentine
Valentine My Sweet Dream
My Valentine poem
This is my first acrostic poem, based on each letter V.A.L.E.N.T.I.N.E inspired by Linda's poem L.O.V.E.

I heard I made Love to Love
I heard the only way love is meant to be
I heard one heart in a body suffice
I heard two hearts make the fourth Of July

I heard of the shortest poem
I heard of the thinnest crust
I heard of the longest pause
I heard your yearning sigh

I heard of the long fuse candle
I heard of the lowest usable high frequency
I heard my pebble dance across the lake
I heard your forever-happy cry

I heard of silent prayers
I heard of quite voices in libraries
I heard of quick death; "Old age best friend"
I heard two hearts in love will never die

I heard of bees buzzing around
I heard of thunder from upon high
I heard wedding bells in my neighborhood
I heard you end all doubts in the word why

I heard of you unlocking doors
I heard of your voice letting me in
I heard of the sweet love you possess
I heard my heart wings flying high

I heard you counting the ways
I heard you love me to the level of everyday
I heard you love me as men strive for right
I heard you in life and beyond death’s goodbye

I heard your voice that is true
I heard you at will ignite my hue
I heard fate is luck cause I met you
I heard my poem’s last teary bye- bye

I heard I found the Holy Grail
I heard I posses the Golden Fleece
I heard of dreams transforming a man to a king
I heard I share your breath by Sun and candle-light.

"How do I love thee? Let me count the ways..."
