Sunshine
Good morning Sunshine
Where have you been?
I miss your footprint
This is no misprint....
You’re always on the go
Twenty four seven
Then when you return
My heart's secret yearn
Mine: a child of nature
I grow from its rain
Creek, river mighty ocean
You set my heart in motion
Don't believe the rumor
Desert midday summer time
I'd rather die alone in your arms
Than briefly live on winter's farms

Hello, Sunshine!
G'day Paul,
Great poem, mate. I see that the sun has come out again in Australia, and the floods have hopefully receded. It's dark, cold and misty here. Please feel free to share some of that Aussie sunshine :-D
Your last line seems odd, sorry to say. It may read better as 'Than live briefly on winter's farms'. The other option might be 'short-lived'. But the meaning is crystal clear, my friend.
Have a wonderful week, take care, and best wishes,
Chris :-)

Dear Chris
I should be in bed, but instead I am writing poetry wee late hours of the night, failing eyesight, a burdened mind, second bout of English language all conspire to abuse my muse, I am trying to stay poetic even in my reply to you
thanks for your feedback, thank God for instant edit, I love your suggestion for my last line, here it is in full glory
amen and thank you friend!

Sweet poem Paul
I love that you love the sun Paul.
Almost as much as I love (and as much as I'm in love) the moon!!!
I like the playful way you wroe this also! And how the last two lines of each stanza are the only ones that rhyme. Very cool. :)

ps I like the sun too. It makes me happy!
Kitchen , Farmer and the Moon

Dear Linda
As I recall your three favorite topics inventing recipes , having your own farm and serenading the moon, you have written exceptional poetry about the moon almost a year ago, where we all jumped on your band wagon, yes I am a summer person, and I love the Sun, but no denying, when I go out for a late night walks in the summer time can not help my heart skip a beat when I see the full moon over the lake, what a magical scene, this has been one quick poem that came down to me like pouring Mable syrup over hot pancakes!
