One last refrain
To stop and say,
‘Just another day’,
While we think about the past
May not be right,
As I, contrite,
Still feel it will not last.
Too long we linger,
Whilst senses ginger
Result in waking fear
We laughed, we cried,
Yet still denied,
Each other drawing near.
So time to go,
No told you so,
No damn your soul to hell,
The bell was rung
We were too young,
It is such a sad farewell!
One day perhaps,
When time elapse,
Senses honed and tears dry,
We meet again,
Once more refrain
From saying a tearful goodbye.
