The Flawed Immortal Part 2

This is for Geowench, who requested more about my Flawed Immortal.
Watch out for the third installment. (as I sell out to a major TV station :P)

And throughout these endless days,
is a single burning desire;
Something to make her life worthwhile,
or someone.

As she wanders, lost as she is,
in sadness and in longing,
she is blind to the pleasures around her.
Streams of mourning mortals come as supplicants
to her feet.
To beg for her happiness, her return to life,

Their cries are lost in the caverns of her sadness,
they echo pitifully,
then fade.
And as their cries die, so does her spirit.
And as their hope fade, so does her hold on life.

Until she is naught but a spirit,
tenuously holding on to life.
Ger grip falters, flickers, and dies.
Her eyes closing for the last time,
surrender.
Though she is immortal she has no reason for living,
and she succumbs to the ignorance of death,
to Hades realms.

Her beautiful golden hair hangs in limp coils,
framing a beautiful, yet empty face.
Her rosebud pink lips fade,
‘till they are as ashen as her body.
Her garments pool around her, hiding her defeat,
and finally she passes.

Making her final journey,
past mournful Charon, who weeps
for the loss of mankind.
And doleful Argus,
who has lost his most beloved playmate.
Till she is able to sit at the feet of Persephone,
and together they lament.

fantastic

Your narrative and vivid writing here are amazing. Really liked this one and I'm sure Geo will, too.
