Journey to Bethlehem

A C h r i s t m a s P r o c l a m a t i o n
Journey to Bethlehem for Mixed Voices
THE GLORY OF CHRISTMAS

(Narrator)
Out of the darkness one voice stood still

Storm Watch

Eclipsed thinking
A mind’s vacuum
Sealed realization
Subliminal creation
Distorted relations
Brain constipation
Fruitless utilization
Chaotic organization
Short circuiting nations

Skywriting

Carve a heart in the sky
Let gravity make the tie

String stars for your tail
Your heart is set to sail

Go beyond your desires
To a place that inspires

Where light is boundless

Ocean Cathedral

Barnacles blister along grey stone docks
Clocks wind in weathered village shops
Bubbles pop on sparkling Grecian shores
Sea vessels lift cargo from ancient floors

Insight

Unsuspecting eyes open wide
Taking in a world of revelation
Without hesitation, reflection
Defining the horizon with life
Birds touching the distant sky
Feet planted into the passage

High Wire Affair

A Bird Convention
Meet on the telephone wire
Admission is free

Electronic Spiders

We have entered the Age of Electronic Romance. We spend our days knitting technology. We are like electronic spiders, spinning webs.

Swaddled in Heaven's Stars

Infinity became finite in that heartbeat
Stars destined for Earth found the Child
The universe contracted with one voice
One cry spilled like rivers to all nations

Footprints in the Snow

Winter arrives like a still birth
Black tree limbs hang lifeless
The north bridge is blockaded
Shadows breathe death tones
Children's voices echo in fog
Overtones of canon's cry above

It is Written

A nation conceived in liberty
Is deliberating its freedoms

History books are a lost age
We are networking morality

Greed has swallowed schools
Life lessons are no longer free

Children of the Moon

The moon has a secret
It knows Earth’s story
It delivers life to dark

Blessings of owl eyes
Guardian of my home
Nesting near dreams

Rocks to rivers roll
A harvest for soul

Message in the Sand

The wind carries my voice
Like mountains rising up
Into dark clouds shouting
Bursting over barren lands
Rambling into riverbeds
Thundering into waterfalls
Surging into ocean tidings

Butterfly Embers

JOY, the stars in love’s eyes
A testimony to truth realized
A vision of justice taking flight
Butterfly embers in the night
Hills of twinkling candle flames
Illuminated angels in golden rain

Summertime 1957

A striped yellow bath towel
Billowing on a clothesline
Laughing as the wind blew
Basking in the bright sunshine

A toothless grin runs barefoot
Charging after her little brother

Snort Resort

Once upon a slime,
in the Land of Thrills,
a sick little dragon
climbed a steep hill.

He had a bad cough,
and a runny nose.
And when he sneezed,
rivers of rainbow jelly flowed.
