Think Spills

Thoughts dribble on parchment
I drool to makes things right
Nothing but drivel drizzles
The doldrums of this write

White knuckled gridlock
Smears skid across pages
The travesty of ambiguity

Anguish

Anguished hearts will writhe
Until the hurt settles down
And the joy stirs up

God's Dreams

Hearts beat across a horizon
A stream of wings unfolding
Reaching for the unknown
Woven in a bronze tapestry
Uninterrupted joy ascending
Mounting the crest of sunrise

Doggy Treat

Canine perspective
Take time to smell the roses
Sniff before you dump

Rhythm Dancing

Rhythm shakes, oh' my soul
Fire dancing, on red, hot jive
A limbo, of ups, and downs
A steady pulse to stay alive

Bouncing up life’s freeways
In the vibrations of its beat

Wings Expanded

The hue of a man is not as important as his wing span. Color does not precede the distance man can soar.

Love's Depth

The child in us never fades
Our hearts play on and on
We are each a music box
We compose a living song

A simple treasure inside us
Others hold the magic keys
When they unlock our love

Bone Dry Cries

Our sanity evaporated
Our brains, bone dry
A drought of thinking
Stoic, frozen eyes

A blur in our vision
A burr in our heads
Our life on empty
Coveted beds

Scorched living

Hands

In pale grey garments I pound our lands
In rice fields, hungry mouths and hands

Scales of justice on my aching shoulders
Balancing water like a decorated soldier

What He Began in Me

The taste of vinegar lingers on my lips
The spoils of evil spill into my mouth
I spit out the rancid wine pouring out
This wicked bile defiles my existence

Unemployment Zoo

California

I know what we can do
Build an unemployment zoo

Visit Monkey Island
We’ll hang in the trees

Throw us to the lions
And throw away the keys

Dress us in pink

Love Tapping

The power of love
Plugging into other’s thoughts
Getting all charged up

If I was a Tree

If I was a tree, you could count my rings
Each year, rain would wrap itself in me
Soaking in the richness of life at my feet
Growing branches where the sky meets
