Ominous Galaxies of Thought
A violent vortex of concentric clouds in the core of my cortex is blowing my mind.
I am in the eye of a brain storm and only my soul can surrender to the road I must travel.
Baby Angels
Heaven holds the stars that twinkle in the night
and little, tiny angels, so precious in His sight.
Heaven cradles planets, the stars, the moons, and space

God's Playground
When I was a little girl I could twirl until I felt the earth spin,
I could jump up and down on my parent’s bed until I could fly,
I could see magic in butterflies, pollywogs, and wiggly worms.
Scattered Leaves
Autumn trees hug the shoulders of dusty roads
To scatter leaves that sing with each passing breeze.
Yellow and orange leaves cascade into a river of yesterdays.
To Hold the Hand of Liberty
My family came from across the sea
To hold the hand of liberty
In America,
America.
With little to nothing to their name
They came just the same,
To America,
America.
Red Sea
A palette of red splattered across a history page,
to be read, cannot free us from our humanity.
A storm of tears splashing against the earth,
Elevator Music
The elevator descends at night
To a ground floor in my brain
Where tracks of memories lie dormant
And nothing else remains
Straight rows of thoughts submerged
In the quagmire of my dreams
Ing It
Life is a bell, Ring it.
Life is a song, Sing it.
Life is a diamond, Bling it.
Life is each pearl of wisdom, String it.
Life is an unexpected pleasure, Wing it.

A Droll Paradox
We learn to be the same, but we are different.
We learn to be different, but we are the same.
We go outside to look inside.
We go inside to look outside.
We go far to be near.
Window In My Soul
There’s a window in my soul
With a Child that knows my name.
He lovingly guards my soul
And reminds me why He came.
His tender eyes of mercy
Cast out my sorrow and pain.
The Fragrance of Eternal Life
Jesus
In the silence of my mind I kiss Your kind face.
Your fragrance is like a garden in spring.
My tears fall gently on Your sweet, calm mouth.
I searched for Your manger and found my God.

Memory Gardens
A clock without a face rang for me today. It rang for me to waken. With eyes closed tight, I saw a road. This road knew my name. It called me on a journey.
