Unsung heroes of this day
Tirelessly hold up children
Searching for daily bread
Holding them next to God
Weeping for Mercy’s face
To rain down on dry nations
Parched and barren waste
Dying to see their earth
Give an abundant harvest
To young bodies starving
In a world that throws away
Unsung heroes of this day
The magnitude of poverty
In a world that has more
To offer than selfish desires

The world is not free falling; we are stalling to love our neighbors as ourselves.
