The Lady of Shallot
Silvery streams of silvery dreams
Twinkling within the soft stillness
Silently drifting among the reeds
Fragrant peaceful waters pulling
A lantern flickering upon the bow
Fog lifting into warm autumn voice
Red locks flowing in fall’s ecstasy
Candles extinguished in a canoe
Gown of white gossamer wings
Fluttering against the dawning
Heart’s passage through Shallot
Unrequited love lost in Camelot
Mirror of reflections, reflecting
Silvery streams of silvery dreams
Dedicated to my beautiful daughter: Lauren Marie LeWay

~Famous Painting by John Waterhouse~
Jill,
I bought my daughter a reprint of the famous painting, "The Lady of Shallot" by artist John Waterhouse. The original poem of the same name was written by Alfred Tennyson.
She did love my poetry remix and I enjoyed learning more about the legend of "The Lady of Shallot". This tale is very magical.
Thanks for your kindness.
Warm regards,
Kathy
