Sun Catchers
Waves of blue upon a deep green sea
Fluttering wings over a forest canopy
Like magical feathers, mother of pearl,
Rainbows, peacocks, bubbles that swirl
Luminous reflections of the morning sun
Camouflaged in branches, the rain’s hum
As they fly, the sky brushes them in blue
As they land, the forest hushes their hue
Blue Morpho butterflies, a matter of facts
Largest on the planet of disappearing acts
In waves of blue they sail over our Earth
Metamorphosis of our planet’s true worth

Floats Like a Butterfly, Sings Like It's Free
A gorgeous piece of poetry, Kathy, and educational, too, as you said. It's nice to be taught something in such a wonderfully poetic way. The flow of the poem matched the subject, and seemed to float along so effortlessly. Another gem from you. Warmest regards,
Chris ;-)
"Rainbows in the Rainforest Collection"
Chris,
Thank you very much for your continued interest in my writing. It is fun trying to write something educational; I know that teachers have used my educational poetry. It does my heart good to know I am still teaching...in my poetic way.
Hope all is well with you this day. How is your novel going? Did you find a publisher yet, and if so, when will it be published? I am really eager to read it.
Have a beautiful day in Japan!
Warm regards,
Kathy ;o)
Poetic Education
Dear Kathy,
Thanks for your message. I know that if I were teaching contemporary poetry, yours would be up there with the best. Poetry shouldn't just be from 'famous' poets, but from poets who really 'move' you, and yours are both emotive and artistic.
My novel is going well, thank you. I have just 5 final chapters on the block for re-editing. I haven't looked for a publisher yet, but will do so from April, when I have completed the editing process. Also by then, my wife will have finished creating a website for me. I will be most happy to sign a copy for you when it's published. :-D
Enjoy the rest of your week, take care, and best wishes.
Warmest regards,
Chris :-)
