Soap Box

Let me jump up on my soap box
I need to pop a few bubbles
Within those free floating spheres
Lives more than just a few troubles

Surrounded in a shroud of rainbows
The looming lollipop guild of life sticks
Marketing evil to our beloved children
Young minds addicted to toxic licks

Painted on the lips of every girl and boy
Are syrupy, artificial kisses for a new toy
Buttons and levers, monitors and mice
These electronic friends roll out the dice

We are gambling away our humanity
On the frontier of being fully loaded
The fuse has been lit by masterminds
Information, like canon fire, has exploded

What’s in a word?
More than we will ever know
Words become actions
They are what we sow

Your play on words

is seriously phenomenal Kathy, one of those writes which you read again and again and still find new meanings-something we all need to absorb and put into practice, well done :D ♥
