Sangria
A heart’s corkscrew
Emotions pouring out
The full heart empties
A fountain with a spout
That true to life feeling
That hits one to the core
Tiny seeds are left there
The birds sing once more

A Glass of Red
A glass of red, as red as a rose,
A cup of your best poetry and prose,
Will see me through this winter's day,
And to your rhythm I dance away.
I like the images you whip up,
Upon your similes I do sup,
Your metaphors so full of love,
That lift my heart so high above.
Thanks for sharing this poem with us,
So calming amidst the morning rush,
Sweet rhyme to get the ears ringing,
A lovely song, even the birds are singing.
Love, Chris xo
A Chorus of Hearts
Chris,
What a joy to get a poetic response, those are the finest.
It is funny how the most simple things can bring peace.
Every little bird, cloud, tree, and butterfly reminds me of God.
A heart's song is important. Mandy is your heart song. And you have many others singing with you ... like me, for instance.
If I can lighten a load, bring a smile, or just a little cheer, I am happy.
I loved your rhyme, it brought me up, up, up. I am a little kite soaring! :o)
Love,
