Red Rose Bleeding
With lacquered twinkle of eyes
I dawn my passionate red robe
Barefoot in overgrown feelings
Hair down to erase what I face
Striking a pose for the camera
Full length anguish in my jest
Wailing into a wall of worries
Alabaster skin on a grey morn
Red rose bleeding with beauty

Bleeding
ooh this is clever Kathy, just like a subtle disguise-almost as if there are more lines written in invisible ink. I love the way you portray that fact-short but powerful :D ♥
~Disorder in Order~
Take an ordinary woman, submit her to anguish, and beauty bleeds. A "Red Rose Bleeding" is an attempt to paint a picture of beauty scorned. Today beauty, "truth" is scorned. The thorns of today's harsh world make beautiful women bleed. We nurture nature and yet we are often like the red rose that is torn between passion and beauty. We have been placed in too many roles and the blood is starting to flow, the blood of our offspring.
War is the raging of a world that needs a loving mother.
Jewel, thanks for passing into a poem that has a cross to bear, anguish exposed.
Warm regards,
Kathy

The title says it all.
A rose bleeding... :(
A beautiful yet lonely take on present times.

~Red~
Eric,
Anguish has a beautiful face but it really bleeds.
Anguish is a lonely emotion, it bleeds.
Red, emotion wrapped in red.
Thanks for understanding a poetic cry in a beautiful red garment. Passions stir.
Warm regards,
Kathy
