Ocean Cathedral

Barnacles blister along grey stone docks
Clocks wind in weathered village shops
Bubbles pop on sparkling Grecian shores
Sea vessels lift cargo from ancient floors
The scent of ocean falls like autumn trees
Window curtains wave in the salty breeze
Fishermen cast nets from splintered chests
Picasso’s sun shatters light on a day’s quest
Colors bounce off water like stained glass
An ocean cathedral celebrating High Mass
Brightly painted houses swell from rocky cliffs
Blessings on its inhabitants and God’s sea gifts

Perfect picture

it's like you took all the sights and smells from this magical place and put them into a poem-Kathy I like, I like a lot! :D ♥

~I Want to Visit Greece~

Jewel,

I have never been to Greece, but it sounds like such a romantic place to visit. This scene played out in my imagination. It is fun to take poetic vacations.

Warm regards,

Kathy
