Love Flurries of the Heart
Love flurries of the heart
Melt into messages of art
That stream beyond desire
Into rains that will inspire
Souls to blossom into sun
Into the wind they climb
On limbs against heaven
Into the songs they soar
Love flurries of the heart
Feel the love of this day
Giving warm hearts away
To strangers on the street
To the eyes that will meet
Souls to blossom into sun
Into the wind they climb
On limbs against heaven
Into the songs they soar
Love flurries of the heart
See the change we make
With every step we take
Opening hearts to flower
A gift we must empower
Souls to blossom into sun
Into the wind they climb
On limbs against heaven
Into the songs they soar
Love flurries of the heart
On the sidewalks of life
Find the storms of strife
Umbrellas to each other
Like a child to a Mother
Souls to blossom into sun
Into the wind they climb
On limbs against heaven
Into the songs they soar
Love flurries of the heart

A Day for Love
Kathy,
This was stunning. I got some great imagery within the beginning of the poem- and it all trickled down to greatness from there. :)
I really like how this poem understands love. Valentines day is not reserved only for lovers, but rather for all. You are a great advocate of others. This poem was generous and loving.
Love is powerful. Thanks for reminding me of this through your words.
have a blessed day

In Living Color, Celebrate!
BritishKid16,
I have been re-reading and studying my writing of the past three years, and I have noted a pattern in my thinking. I have noticed that I have not wavered on my feelings for Mother, earth, sky, water, heaven, birds, butterflies, angels, love, light, fire, stars, God, and "others". I have also come to realize that color is the element that 'we' use to describe everything about us. Barbara Streisand was brilliant when she named one of her earliest albums, "Color Me Barbara".
We certainly do color our world don't we?
The colors you use to describe your appreciation for my work are so complimentary to my thoughts.
"Others", everything outside of ourselves is probably "the FINEST word" of this time and this place (2012). We can spend our time tying ourselves up into knots...or we can go help someone else untie their knots. I would like to do more for "others" but I too suffer the knot syndrome from time to time. I would like to make sure that 2012 is the year that I stepped up to the plate and did my all for "Others". Of course, "Others", includes family and friends too.
Your comments mean the world to me. From one artist to another, it is great to have such kind feedback.
Celebrate this day. You were born to shine!
Sincerely,
Kathy :o)
