In the Arms of Humility
Humility is a blossoming heart
A rose gently unfolding grace
An action and reaction stirring
A soul print of God’s embrace
The indelible desire to inspire
To permeate the walls of man
Embracing unwelcomed strife
Merciful hands to understand
Leaning on the desires of God
A love that will not be quelled
Dispelling fears consummated
By a world serving a living Hell
Eyes surrendered to burdens
Towering mind of inner peace
A circle of God’s compassion
With joy that will never cease

The Strength of Humility
Wonderful Kathy...humility is such a delicate quality and yet it lends such strength. I love the line -a rose gently unfolding grace. This poem is written with such understanding and compassion.
To quote a poet and friend of mine Mark Leon " Humility is strength floating on inner beauty."
~Swelling Hearts~
I have experienced the heart of humility in my life. It makes me realize how fortunate I am to be loved. Humility is like a helium balloon, it makes feelings rise. In the presence of humility, I am beautiful! Money cannot buy humility, it is a gift you develop for service to others.
I thank you Jill...for all your thoughts and all your good wishes for words to help us surrender to the greater forces at hand in our world.
Your friend, Mark Leon, is an excellent poet!
Warm regards,
Kathy
"Where there is humility, there is wisdom" - Proverbs
Kathy,
Indeed as you beautifully affirmed, the Author of Grace gives His unfathomable depth of grace to the humble soul. As long as the soul is not completely emptied of itself it cannot know the Pure Goodness - God. Humility is the unconditional surrender to live only for the Highest Good - God or as Simone Weil would say " humility is the refusal to exist outside of God." And, when we serve God, we lose nothing and we gain infinite, eternal riches. This verse shows a wonderful gallantry of spirit in which the spark of His infinite intelligence undeniably shines.
May you continue to receive His abundant graces fruitfully,
Dorothy
~Merry Christmas~
Dorothy,
Your affirmation was like a personal tour to Bethlehem. I have seen the Christ Child! I have touched Him!
I have seen Christ in others, and this is the guiding star that gives my life such purpose.
Humility is the gift that brings complete joy to my world. I weep when I think of Humility's glorious face. I yearn to be in the company of Humility, because that is where my God resides.
Your words were a beautiful gift of the Holy Spirit that I will pour into others cups.
May the Lord's peace be with you too,
Kathy
