I Had a Dream
In the still hours of morn
I announce, “I am free!”
My eyes focus inside out
Sight migrates into nests
Strife stirring in passage
Hour glass turned upside
Subconscious swims into
Revolutions of what now
Revelations of dark halls
Twinkling on nothingness
Counter to popular belief
Rest can revive this Spirit
America’s stars are falling
Feeling America’s stripes
Please feel better America
Children dream about you
To hear your strong voice
Your heartbeat marching
Nation united under God
