A Heart's Song
I hung my heart on the old oak tree
Autumn leaves brushing against me
Still the beat in a rush of cool wind
Like a flute I sing from deep within
Breath of Earth in all I can compose
Love’s music is all my heart knows
I play the sky, the grass, and breeze
The sun paints shadows inside of me
Without thought, the words I can play
As I peacefully sleep where birds pray

Beautiful, artistically creative poetry.
This is beautiful, artistically creative poetry, Kathy. I continue to so very much admire your talented and gifted abilities to craft such lovely and imaginative scenes. The visual imagery throughout this heartwarming write is outstanding, and after reading it, I came to feel profoundly inspired. I deeply admire the elaborate, spiritual emotion in which you were so tenderly able to convey. As always, I sincerely thank you, Kathy, for sharing more of your quality poetry, and I highly look forward to both reading and commenting on more of your wonderful work. God bless you.
"I hung my heart on the old oak tree
