Earth's Altar

I stand prayerfully at earth’s altar
Transfixed on green against green
Mixed light on flowing branches
Shadows resting on nature’s scene

Water cascading against mossy stones
Relics of what our earth has sown
The sound of silence crescendoing
The greatest song I’ve ever known

Time tangled into rich, fertile soil
Rooted deep within our Mother
Layers of life twisted in tree trunks
Standing proudly with one another

I lift myself into this splendor
Rising into heaven’s sounds
I am one with earth’s creation
This is where my God is found

Heavenly Thoughts...

Solace and consolation to a world in upheaval & turmoil. God is everywhere, it is we who choose to be blind or see His splendor in all.
