Burrs of Anguish
Hate burred itself into me
Prickly sharp atrocity
Rolling like a porcupine
Sharpened quills
Splintering my mind
Fractured pieces spitting thoughts
Like bone gnashing pain in knots
Fettered to my soul’s desires
Destroying all that can inspire
A single hateful word, a single hateful deed
Cutting a path through tranquility
Hate loves to burrow where love is grown
Be cautious of company where burrs are sown
If we govern with hate, hate will govern us.
“Love thy neighbor as thyself.”
Leviticus 19:18

How true your words are. My favorite line is:
"Hate loves to burrow where love is grown
Be cautious of company where burrs are sown"
"We all seem to rise to the lowest intentions"
Thanks for sharing Kathy

~Anguish~
Ron,
Anguish is the most painful emotion. We have all been in her clutches.
Thanks for your loving support.
Warm regards,
Kathy
