Autumn Quilt

A mist of morn poured golden fog
Over a sanctuary of autumn reds
A congregation of earth’s faithful
Gathering like children into a bed

The woods for fall to slumber upon
Nestled warmly into loving Mother
Bellies full from summer’s branches
Embracing arms around each other

Prayerfully they rest on sweet Earth
In their warm quilt of woven colors
Dreaming of how seasons change us
Thanksgiving for the fruit of others

Very difficult to find great

Very difficult to find great poetry these days! Thanks for this lovely piece!

~Sushil Soni~

It is so nice to meet you! Thank you for the generous compliment. It is lovely to find comfort in the knowledge that my poetry is read in India too. Poetry has no boundaries; it moves from age to age, from reason to reason, with the depth of our human spirit.

Warm regards,

Kathy Paysen

There is no doubt.

Working with Fabrics, threads and dyes etc. as I do. I have to say that each time I read one of your poems I see the colours. There is no doubt you paint with a palette of words. Your work is wonderful and thanks for writing so we can all enjoy it.

~Palette of Words~

Periwinkle,

Are you a fashion designer? I love the television program, "Project Runway". It is exciting for me to think that my word palette wets your appetite for your fabric palette. I think it would be fun to design poetry to go with a runway show. Fashion is poetry in motion.

Thanks for the kind expression. You are delightful.

Warm regards,

Kathy
