Lost

The childhood memories it seems everyone has;
are a blur to me.
I look at all the old photographs,
and try my hardest to remember.
The things I seem to recall,
are really just things I've seen in pictures.
Things I'm dying to play back in my mind.
It's as if all the things that happened when I was little,
were recorded on tape.
And all the things happening now,
are being taped over them.
Like my childhood didn't even exist to begin with.
I wonder if 20 years from now,
I'll remember what's happening in my life now.
Or if these memories, too, will get lost with time.

This is a very nice write.

This is a very nice write. If you would like some true inspiration check out SoniF's poetry. I get a lot of my inspiration from her because of her amazing talent.

This is quite thought provoking Kaitlynn

..It made me sit and try to remember childhood events and I admit there are missing pieces. Just recently on a hike with my mom I kept saying to myself (keep this day...keep this special memory alive!!) I looked around around as much as possible to take everything special or out of the norm in. She is getting older and the thought of loosing her made me think of not wanting to forget even little occasions or events. NICE WRITE!!
At Scottie - this is the 2nd time I'm blushing this morning, due to an unexpected compliment :-)) I'm honored that you feel that way about my writing...Thank you!!
