Around the Fire [Introduction]

Judging from that day once again
I thought I happened upon a new-found freedom
But that supposed freedom would be my ultimate sin
The diamond sparkled oh so brightly
While melodies of voices invaded my deafened ears
Life would soon be constructing a fool out of me.

A cloudless sunny day with water exposing aquamarine
Minor objects moving in the back of this canvas
At the time, I was living in my head, a dream
Something that day formed a slight titillating sensation that I couldn't explain
I took a moment to try to clear my mind
Everything was quite normal to me, yet I felt completely insane.

***I'm making a series of these poems [hence the "Introduction" in the title], so stay tuned for more!***
