i really do hate animals and insects

Like a child pulling legs off spiders
And burning ants from magnifying glass fires
Limb from limb, shrinking and shrivelling
Butterflies in jam jars, wasting, withering
Swatted flies, squashed moths
Cut up worms and stingless wasps
Shoeprint dead bugs, stood on with trail
Fat Melted slugs and slow homeless snails

Puppies and kittens left in old rotten boxes
Horses and hounds slaughtered the foxes
Monkeys and apes are in for animal testing
Jailed circus bears are something to invest in
Alligators and snakes are our purses and shoes
Fish are on the bait and our horses are glue
Birds have been shot, rabbits been caught
Waiting in shops, to be killed or be bought
