My Final Farewell.

I ask you lord,
How do I live in this world without my mother?
Where I can not talk, smile, or laugh with,
Where I can not see, kiss, or hug her?

And the Lord replies...
In this world son,
Your mother no longer exists,
But she is by my side in heaven,
And son I promise you this.

I ask you lord,
What do I do about guidance, support, or help?
When my mother always got me through
All the bad hands that I've been dealt?

And the Lord replies...
Look no further than where you are,
And stare on up above,
Gaze upon the brightest star,
And there you will find her love.

I ask you Lord,
Will I ever see my mother again,
The most important person I have ever known?
Why would you take my mother and best friend,
And tear apart my home?

And the Lord replies...
The wind will cause the trees to sway,
Worry not my son,
For I have made it this way.

The tree will have it's leaves that fall,
I have done this on purpose,
Worry none, not at all.

The leaves on the ground
Will be covered in snow,
But come springtime my son,
I will make more leaves grow.

The point my son,
Is that I always have a plan.
For every wind, tree, or leaf,
For every child, woman, and man.

And I ask the lord,
I have one final request,
Once more can I hear her voice?
Whatever your decision is
I understand your choice.

And my mother replies,
I am here with you my son,
As I was and will always be,
Just look to your heart and mind,
and picture me through your memories.

I will always be there to listen to you,
And I'll never be far away.
Just remember that I'll never stop loving you,
And I will live on through you each day.

And I reply,
Thank you Lord,
And Momma I love you.
