No Christmas Dream
Christmas time for a little girl
Age nine years old,
Presents, a tree, decorations,
Where magical stories are told.
Christmas Eve for a little girl
Age nine years old,
Excitement and happiness
Wondering what will happen next
Watching the lights sparkle blue and gold.
Christmas Day for a little girl
Age nine years old,
Like a perfect dream
A blur of dazzling things
Smiling, eating ice-cream
Being with family and singing hymns,
Letting the day unfold.
Memories of Christmases
Usually happy and bright,
Until just four years later
The same girl now thirteen
Everything gone,
Nothing right,
Wanting to forget
Anything merry and light,
As everything is taken away
Christmas is a nightmare
With reminders everywhere,
Everything shattered and broken
There's no Christmas scene
Christmas is no longer happy and full of love
Because Christmas is no longer a dream.

Thank you for reading it
Thank you for reading it, I just thought back and remembered what the first Christmas was like after my parents passed away, without anyone I loved-it was hard ♥
i am really soory for your parents
i will make a poem for your parents soon you will read it
it's very peaceful from you to share this
you are a very unique human
hope you can publish a book it will be great where you can put all your poems
i am from Lebanon and your from America and look we are talking in a normal way
so i have learned in my life after losing a lot of people that i care about
that the distance that separate tow people can't influences on how good is there communication
so if yo missed your parents you can just go to your heart and talk they will surly listen
Thank you, so much
If you go anywhere in the world, leaving all you've ever known, just go to the place you know in your heart and your loved ones will be there for you ♥
Dear Poetess
I don't know what to say except that I am so sorry to hear about your parents.
I'm sure they were very wonderful people, and that you miss them dearly.
Blessings to you,
Cristo
