My Mum

I wrote this when I was 12, for my mum.

My mother
Cheerful and kind,
As bright and warm
As a ray of sunshine.
Loves music
Plays and sings,
Big classical hymns
Or soft and gentle
Just like an angel's voice
Floating on wings.
She absolutely has to have
Her big cup of tea
(Or two or three!)
In the morning,
With at least two teabags, nothing less,
Otherwise all day she'll be yawning.
She definitely makes the best food, especially cakes,
In the whole of Devon,
When I eat them I do spontaneous lift-off
And go straight up to heaven!
If I'm ill she looks after me
And is somehow always there,
Puffs up my pillows, holds my hand
With so much love and care.
She cheers me up
When I'm sad,
And makes things better
When they're bad.
She can be extremely bossy,
Sometimes judgemental and explosive!
But very generous, as radiant as gold,
The best mum on earth
There ever is.
So I think you'll know it's true
When I say you do all a mum does and miles more,
I don't know what I'd do
If you weren't here,
To say sweetheart and dear.
You're always with me, in my heart and core right through
There's so many more things I could say
But the one I want to say the most is that
I will always love you.

love it

great emotion reflected on a peace of paper
very good
love it
jewel
(:))

Thank you

I wasn't sure whether to post it or not, because I wrote it a fair while ago, but I'm really glad you like it ♥

i should like it

its so beautiful
you are so great in reflecting exact thoughts in poem
that make every word that say a very mean-ful one and very perfect
so don't be not sure
:P

I won't be in future

I'll just go for it! Thanks Fadi ♥
